V-A-L-E-N-T-I-N-E

V-A-L-E-N-T-I-N-E

(song)

V-   is for the victory in Jesus.

A-  is for amazing grace how sweet the sound.

L-   is for His love that lifted me.

and E -   is for eternal  life, when found.

N-   is nothing but the blood of Jesus.

T-   is for  thanksgiving praise we give.

I - is for, Jesus IS the answer

 N-  Is for -  We need His love to live.

 and E-   is  - The love,  He ever  gives.

The Connecticut Tragidy

The Connecticut Tragedy

No words can express the pain of losing a child through violence.
The trauma, the heartbreak, the brokenness and the anger.

To never hear your child's laugh again, to never be able to hug them or comfort them.

To live a lifetime without them would be the most unbearable reality to have to face.

Lord, comfort the victims of the Connecticut tragedy.

Let their hearts know that their children are held in your loving arms.

Protect the children of our country and turn our nations heart back to you.

We know that this life is only a vapor and we will see these dear children again.
Lord, protect our children from the influences of this world that lead to this kind of violence.
Shelter the innocent heart of our children.
My church and my family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Our hearts a sorrowful for all the victims of this horrific crime.

"Oh How I Love You" | POEMS - Inspirational and Christian

I Love You, Oh How I Love You

Oh How in love, I am with you;
If I could only find the words,
That express how you move my passion;
I love you, Oh how I love you.

The stars that shine, shine brighter;
The moon above becomes romance.
Every time I think of you;
My beating heart begins to dance.

Every time I look into your eyes;
I can see that your love is real.
I have found you, my forever;
I love you, Oh how I love you.

You are no doubt, my best friend;
Laughter just comes naturally.
When I walk and talk with you;
Your thoughts mean so much to me.

Our lives will soon be as one;
Walking side by side in this life.
Your strong hand will clasp to mine;
With love and joy as man and wife.

I love you, Oh how I love you;
I love you desperately.
I will love you, yes forever;
God has given you to me.

My Favorite Valentine

 My Favorite Valentine

Once I had a Valentine
that I loved so,
It said, "I love you
and want you to know...
Mine is a love
that this world can't define,
I'd never leave you
if you would be mine."

Now I have a Valentine
that I love more,
God said, "I love you,
you're worth dying for...
Mine is a love
that the world can't define,
I'll never leave you...
now that you're Mine."

--Connie
"...He hath said,
I will never leave thee,
nor forsake thee."
(Hebrews 13:5b, KJV)

Owl Always Love You

Owl Always Love You: I bought this file and this is the first time I have had a chance to mess with it. I have to say I rushed so its not as good as it could be but wanted to craft but a bit under the weather. I went to Cincinnati with hubby he wanted to go to the horse track. We went in and everyone seemed to be smoking. I'm not good around smoke and it really started to bother me after a while. My head started hurting and I just didn't feel good. The building wasn't very ventilated and by the end of the day about 3 out 4 people seemed to be smoking. Now don't get me wrong if you want to smoke then you should be able too but I'm not sure why I am forced to breathe it in. I feel if you choose to smoke then you should go outside. There were believe it or not alot of children in there, even babies! OH MY not the place I think you should take your children necessarily but I even dislike that more that they don't have a choice and they have to breath this in too.

So I took myself outside alot to get some air and it was COLD and very WINDY!! SO I think I have given myself a touch of a cold. The horses are so pretty and I did enjoy the races but next time I will check to see if there is a non smoking area. Even if I have to pay to do it!

Ok enough of my belly aching here is my little project. I couldn't find my black pen so the eyes didn't get done very well but I think its pretty cute none the less. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentines Day!
Hope you're having a fabulous day with your sweetheart!

I always hope to post pictures of the girl's valentines earlier, but they inevitably become the last minute stuff, tie, and this year sew projects!
For Maggie's we made little bottle cap zipper pulls. Got the caps and little ice cream treat stickers from Etsy. Then we added a bead charm and I designed the tag. We wrapped them up in plastic bags and added a few chocolate hearts and tied them with ribbons.
 We wrapped them up in plastic bags and added a few chocolate hearts and tied them with ribbons. She was so excited to share these with her friends.
Sophie of course, wanted to do something different. We decided to sew and stuff little hearts! I got Valentine scrapbook paper and cut them into hearts on my Cricut.
 Then I cut clear plastic vinyl and stitched around them with my sewing machine leaving a 1 1/2" hole. The girls stuffed them with valentines candy corn and then I stitched up the hole and added the tag.
The tag says "Your'e a Heartbreaker Valentine" because the only way to get into them is to break the heart!
I'll be including both the tags that you can download on the blog soon, never too early to plan for next year, right?
Tonight we will be having our annual Valentines Breakfast for dinner. It's a tradition since the kids were little. We used to have it at breakfast time until the kids started school, and then we had to switch it to dinner. But what's better than breakfast for dinner, right? :).
Happy Heart Day!

Paper Valentine’s Day Flower Centerpiece

Paper Valentine’s Day Flower Centerpiece:
By Paper Crafts Contributor, Lauren Romano.
Valentine’s Day flowers are lovely, but they’re also expensive and they die shortly after you buy them. A better option is to make paper flowers for yourself or to give as a gift. However, make small centerpieces instead of making a bouquet. It may sound complicated, but all you need is a little patience and a handful of inexpensive items.

What you’ll need:
Step 1. Cut tissue paper into squares. The smaller the squares the smaller the flowers. I cut each square into 5 inch pieces and alternated between using red tissue paper and one that’s heart-patterned.
Step 2. Take each square and fold it into a triangle. Follow that up by folding each triangle in half, then in half again.
Step 3. Hold each triangle so the fold faces to the left, then cut off the top of the triangle so you form a curve at the top.
Step 4. Next, cut off the lower point at a curve.

Step 5. Open up the triangles; each piece should look like a flower that’s missing the center.
Step 6. Make a cut in each piece from the top of the petal to the center so they are no longer solid pieces.

Step 7. You’ll notice the pieces have creased sections which is going to help with gluing the flowers together. Take one section and overlap the two ends until it’s the size you want for the outer layer. Don’t glue the ends down; instead, glue down the second or third section in.

Step 8. Repeat Step 7 for each layer until you get to the center. As you go along, make the layers smaller and put a small drop of glue on the bottom of each layer so they stick together.
Step 9. To make the center piece, roll one of the layers into a cone shape. Put a small drop of glue on the sides of the point, then stick it through the center of the flower layers. Pinch the layers around the point so they curve in.
Step 10. After the flower dries, place it on top of a glass candle holder. Opt for a candle whose coloring complements the colors of the flower.

It's Friday! This week has flown by! I think I have I worked more hours this week than any other week in a long time. But I am caught up with everything and ready for things to calm down a bit!

Yesterday was the first day all week that I got to play in my craft room. I REALLY needed it...you know when your brain just hurts from the computer and life...you just need to get your hands dirty? That's how I felt yesterday :) A few weeks ago I picked up a cardboard mailbox at my local craft store and I knew I wanted to make a Love Note Mailbox for my little family. I was so excited to finally sit down and make it!

I used these two stack that are out at Michaels right now. Glitzy Glitter Brights had the pink and silver print. And Glitzy Glitter Neutrals had the solid silver paper. Both of these stacks are must haves! I wish I had a never ending budget so I could mail a piece of this paper to every one of you to have the chance to feel it! My neighbor stopped by while I was crafting and she couldn't believe how smooth this glitter paper is. It's very different than our normal glitter paper. If you are near a Michaels, stop by and check it out!

I {love} how this project turned out! Here's how I did it:

1. Covered the outside, bottom and back with the pink & silver print. It took 2 papers to do this.

2. Painted the front with some pink craft paint.

3. Covered the mailbox flag with the silver paper.

4. Hand cut a silver heart for the front. Gathered a heart doily and hot glued it to the back of the silver heart. Glued it to the front of the mailbox.

5. Embellish! Used May Arts ribbon, one of our new felt flowers from Fashion A La Carte and some alphabet sticks. Embellishing is my favorite part ;)

7. Last, I hot glued the mailbox to a Eiffel Tower vase that I also found at the craft store. You could use any ol' vase though. But this one just called my name ;)

I am encouraging my boys to put little notes to each other in the mailbox throughout the month of February. We do a pretty good job telling each other we love them but this is just another fun way to do it. Plus, I can keep the notes and scrapbook them ;) hee hee!

I hope you like it! Handmade Valentine crafts are the best in my opinion :) Can't believe it's Valentine's Day next week!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'll see you back here on Monday!
